The mission of the Desert Chorale is to demonstrate the highest musical standard in the performance of a wide variety of choral literature for the benefit of community audiences and the individual choir member.

The Desert Chorale is a 60-voice, non-profit, community chorus. Its members represent all areas of the greater Las Vegas Valley and are from all walks of life. The Chorale was founded in 1984, and the goal of its musical director, Nancy Helm, was to develop a semi-professional, versatile musical performance group for Las Vegas and its surrounding communities. Members are chosen by audition and help support the group with monthly dues. The organization is administered by an appointed board of community members and elected Chorale members.
